Free Bird Feeder from throw away plastic bottles, cans, and sticks.

Had a little bag of bird seed, and didn't want to just toss it on the wet ground.  So I found a two liter size water bottle in the Recycle Bin, cut the top off, and made a Mod.  The first one I tried, I put holes all over and perches for the birds virtually everywhere.  It was a lot of work, and totally not needed.  Then I figured out that the seed will all flow to the bottom anyway.  So I cut the top off of a large 2 gallon bottle and used a piece of old wire to attach it as a rain roof and fill cover.  Then I cut the neck pieces off two smaller bottles to use for the birds to feed from. Next time I'll use a cut up coke can instead because its less work.  Drilled holes for a stick I found in the yard trimmings to use as a perch at the very bottom.  Cut the two holes for the feed tube bottle necks with a round stone attachment for the drill.  Placed the stick and the two bottle necks in place and glued them with contact cement.  Filled it with seed and then hung it in the tree outside my room.  Ahh, the sound of song birds to wake up to every morning.  And all from the trash.  Beats $30 or $40 for a Bird Feeder, huh?
